How does a Pooling Depot work

We have WMS turned on and use the LPN process to store and ship products.

We are looking for a way to ship products to sister plants and Customers from a central depot.  But still need to maintain the BP's identy so we can cost and credit correctly.

Any documentation would be very helpful in the areas of -

What is a Planning Depot and how does it work.

What is a Shipping Depot and how does it work. 

What is a Pooling Depot and how does it work.
