New HTML version of MOS won't proceed beyond the Quick Setup page.

Anyone experiencing this problem?  I have had this problem since first attempting to use the new HTML version of MOS.  I updated my Java (because it is faulting on an Oracle .js file it can't find/load), but it didn't help.  When Oracle announced the Flash version is going away 7/13/2012, which means I won't be able to open MOS to create a Contact Us SR at that point because I can't run MOS, I went in via the Flash version and opened SR 3-5895854081.  Apparently this is a widely occurring issue, for which there is no workaround (in IE8 on
