P06042 Future Data Employee Master Revisions

We run a weekly payroll and would like to use P06042 Future Data Employee Master Revisions to update PHRT and SAL with a value for a future date.  We run the P06042 in proof and final outside of payroll.  When final update is run through payroll the amount from the SALN gets moved to the SAL field for the correct date, but the previous salary amount field in the F060116 doesn't get populated with a value.  When we update the SAL and PHRT field directly on the employee master (using basic comp) the previous salary field in the F060116 gets
