LOBs are causing "Enq: TX Contention"

Hi
  we are facing major performance issue in one of the production database while inserting the data in one particular table ( having log column) with event "Enq:TX contention". I tried to increase ini_trans , but it is nit allowing to increase initrans value of LOB indexe

pl advise to resolve the issue
