Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.8 is now using Oracle Universal Installer (OUI), here some special consider

Hi,  Here two scenarios that you may face when installing the new Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.8 maintenance release:

1. Existing Siebel 8.1.1.1-7 customers who need to apply 8.1.1.8 OUI FP

These customers just follow the standard procedure, i.e. go to My Oracle Support, 'Patch & Downloads' tab to obtain the Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.8 FP, then apply it to their Siebel 8.1.1.x instance. The Siebel CRM 8.1.1 OUI base software is NOT required in this case.

2. New customers who are installing Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.8 for the first time (i.e. they don’t have an existing Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.1-7 environment to apply this patch on)
