Reversing an Asset in R12

I found that when trying to reverse an Asset that has been interfaced to Assets, the only way to make sure there is only one entry to zero the costs out was to select 'Capital Hold' in the assets window before generating lines.  I could not find any documentation around what the purpose of the Capital Hold was, and want to make sure that this is the right way to reverse an Asset.  After selecting the Reverse button, open the asset details and then select Capital Hold. Save and close the assets section. Then Generate Lines.  does anyone have any
