Roll back PO with rejected status to previous revision

Hi gurus,
Client have this requirement to rollback the PO information to the last approved revision when the modified PO approval is rejected. I think technically it is possible to extract the previous PO information from the archive tables and put that into the PDOI.

Does PDOI works for PO with status Rejected?

Does anyone has similar requirement and code that you can share?

The client is using standard PO and contract agreement type and archive is at PO approval.
