Configurator - Use of Model connector between Model BOMs

Has anyone used model connector to connect between two different BOM models ?

Note: It works between model BOMs if it were part of the same parent Model (Hybrids).

Also, I can use model reference or Model connector to connect Non BOMs.

Example:

ModelA and ModelB are two different BOM models.

I would like to connect ModelA from ModelB in the CZ structure.

The only option i see at this moment is to create a model called ModelC and keep ModelA and ModelB as it's components.

Any thoughts ?
