VSS backups of Clustered database in Oracle Fail Safe??

Hello Gurus,

I need to know if we can backup clustered database in Oracle Fail Safe cluster and in Windows RAC , using VSS writer and VSS framework?Oracle documentation says that raw devices and ASM is not supported for VSS snapshots. Generally, for RAC we do have storage on ASM or raw devices.If yes, then is RMAN able to restore from the VSS snapshot backup of an clustered Oracle database?
