Configured Items - Adding Stocked Items to Sales Orders

I have a configured item: stocking type: C Line type: S.

I am attempting to add stocked items (StkType:P Line Type:S ) to a sales order, but the selection of these items needs to be based on a complex selection process, hence the use of a configured item not a kit. So, in essence, I want the components to be added to the sales order, like a kit, but I want to use the configurator to do it, without generating a work order.

It works wonderfully based on my selections and tables - the correct components are entered on the sales order based on the P Rules and tables.
