database link from 11g to 8i

Hi.
Upgrading our oracle 9i  intranet database to 11g we got stuck when we tried to compile some stored procedures using dblinks pointing  to a peoplesoft 8i  database.

Oracle do not certify direct connections between 11g and 8i. We're checking for any alternatives to solve this issue.

OS: Solaris

Some escenarios:

a) using a bridge connection  11g -->  10g --> 8i

b) using Heterogeneous services HSODBC

c) using odbc on solaris

Any suggestions?
