Linking to Custom Multi Select Pick Lists to Cascadingt Pick Lsts

I wish to create a Cascading Pick List connected to a Custom Multi Select Pick List but the Custom Multi Select Pick List I require is not visible when using the Cascading Pick List Wizard.Can anyone advise how this can be achieved please?
