Best way to upgrade Solaris 10 kernel from U2 to latest U10

What's the best way to upgrade Solaris 10 kernel from U2 to latest U10 on Sparc 64-bit platform?  The individual update patches seem to have complex dependencies.  If using the latest Solaris 10 U10 release directly, would that be an upgrade on top of the existing U2 or a new install from scratch?  I am trying to determine the update method to minimize the impact on the system as it hosts a pretty big database.  Thanks.
