Data Extract

I have noticed that a balance is missing for a particular Entity/Account/Period.  Using Smartview, I can see balances for March and April.  However, the file created by Data Extract only has the March balance, not April.  I tried extracting one monthe at a time and all extracting for a range of periods.  The results were the same--April balance is missing.   I am not sure why.   Has anybody encountered similar problem?  Anybody knows the reason why that happened?   Any suggestion would be appreciated.
