Please clarify working of BFILE in context of Physical Standby Database

Can you explain me whether BFILE data type is supported on oracle 11.2.0.2 physical standby database,if it works then what is the approach because there external files involve on primary site so how will it transferto DR Site.Please help me to understand this scenario.
