Utilize a 10G Ethernet connection for Migration to Exadata
Hi Exa gurus,
we are in the process of migrating a 25TB database from HP Supredome 10.2.0.5 to a Half Exadata machine.
10GEthernet cards have been configured on both HP and all the Exadata nodes (4 dbnodes).
But even using the 10GE network "scp" does not seem to overpass the 50-60 MB per second per "scp" session ( we use Data Pumps and transfer
them from HP to DBFS on Exadata).
Seems related with "scp" limitation and encryption.
Also "ftp" is not installed on Exadata dbnodes or even "rcp".
How you have handle similar migration situations for large datapump transfers over the network?
