Hitachi SAN cache issues

We're hoping to use ZFS on our Sun Solaris Server which is attached to our Hitachi SAN. However previously when we attempted this we found that the Window Servers such as the MS Exchange Server also attached to the SAN gound to a halt.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there some configuration required on the Solaris side to use ZFS on LUNS provided by Hitachi SAN's. I did find something regarding cache flushing but can no longer find it. It may have been for open solaris.

I am unable to find anything regarding white papers on using ZFS on Hitachi SAN.
