MassAllocation - Incremental vs Full

in General Ledger - EBS (MOSC) Question

I've read document ID 1042232.6 on how the system calculates incremental allocation.  So, if an allocation formula is built using  YTD Cost Pool , and the prior periods allocation has already been reversed in the current period to derive the PTD change.  

Then, if we want to run the allocation again incrementally in the current period, wouldn't we need to change the Cost Pool (line A) account type to PTD?  That way it is subracting the previous 'PTD change' in the Target Account from the newly calculated 'PTD change' amount.
