Always experiencing java out of memory, or stuck threads

Good day,
Im running oracle webcenter portal with the following specs, Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 Server, with 64gb memory. the managed server WC_Spaces always gets an error of  java out of memory, or stuck threads. my xmx and xms is set to 6g, and threadpool is 72. what is the best tuning and is there a patch to solve this problem?
