PAY: Proration for Indirect Elements

edited Jul 29, 2012 2:42PM in Payroll and OTL - EBS (MOSC) 5 commentsAnswered
We use Shift Loading Elements to calculate Standard Hours for timecard employees.

Shift Loading elements are not enabled for Proration. Hourly rate for these elements is calculated using the Hours as of the Effective Date. (Hours and Effective Date are the Input Values to these elements).

The Fast formula associated with Shift Loading elements feeds the 'Hours'  and 'Effective Date' inputs as Indirect results to 'Standard Hours' element. Proration is enabled for 'Standard Hours' element.

When there is a change in Grade Step of an employee mid of the pay period, proration event is detected for the Grade Step change but 'Standard Hours' element is not prorated.

Howdy, Stranger!
