Pre-Ranging in Workbook Wizard

Hi,

We need to do a pre-ranging to filter items by seasonality. For e.g. When a season is selected in the wizard, only those items belonging to the season selected should be displayed for selection in the wizard.

Currently Seasonality is not a defined hierarchy in the configuration. I know this can be achieved by creating seasonality hierarchy and bringing in the Item-Seasonality mapping. But this would entail a full install and the client does not want to do a full install due to various reasons.

Now, can pre-raning be achieved by any other means without having to undergo a full install e.g. possibly using a measure in the standard wizard instead of hierarchy. Could you please throw some pointers on other ways it can be done.
