World A73 - Extending Depreciation Life Expectancy

Hi,

I have some items that have depreciation schedules starting back in 2007 for 5 years depreciation.  We have been given the ok to bump the depreciation on them from 5 to 7 years as of 12/31/11.  We want to use the net book value as of 12/31/11 as the starting point and add 24 months to the remaining life of the item.  So a newly created item would have 7 years while an old item from 2007 would have 2 additional years added.  We do not want to reopen any previous years since we’re a public company.  We just want it to re-evaluate the depreciation for them starting for this year forward thruough the extended life.  I guess the first question is can World A73 do it?  If it is possible, how do I go about setting up the Rule & Formula for it to work?

Howdy, Stranger!
