Approach to handle preconfigured items in configurator

Hi,

The client is in the process of restructruing their bom to go with models and option classes - There's no model/option class in the current environment.

So far the business is run by creating thousands preconfigured item/bom (standard boms) as needed.

The new BOM structure (Model - Option class - options) will be using configurator rules to replace the manual experise which was required to create preconfigured items/boms earlier.

Is there any way the existing preconfigured bom can be used in 'Oracle matching' process before creating new star items?
