Asset Status in Search for an Asset ?

Using Peoplesoft 9.1, Asset Management

In the Search for an Asset, i selected on the "received (not in service) status, and the system pulled a list of assets with that status.

But we don't have any assets in that Status. 

On a different screen, I entered that status "received (not in service), and searched.  The system found no values (as expected).

Could you please advise

 on the label "received (not in service); and

why some of our assets are pulled as matching the search although we have no assets with that status?
