Oracle Restart Abort Instance

edited Jul 23, 2012 2:48PM in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered
I installed Oracle 11.2.0.3 and configured Oracle Restart for stand alone server. Everything works fine except one thing: When the server is rebooted, the database instance is aborted, instead of shutting down immediate as configured. I see this from the instance alertlog.
I installed Gird Infrastructure using software only option and manually added the database and listener. SRVCTL displays the stop mode is "immediate", but Oracle Restart still aborts the instance. Is there anything I missed?

The OS is RHEL 5 x86_64.

Thanks

Kenny
