I’m trying to set network printing with Xerox Phasers in the 4500 and 6300 series on a Sun-Fire 208R running Solaris 8.  I downloaded the CentreWare for Unix Solaris 2.6 & Higher (XeroxSolarisXPXX_4.30.28.tgz) and the Printer Package for use w/CentreWare for UNIX installers (XeroxPrinterPkgXPXX_2009_11_11.tgz) from www.xerox.com

I added the IP addresses for the printers to /etc/hosts.  And, then I installed the Xerox drivers and the printer support package.  I used the xpadmin command to create the print queues.

My issue is that only root can send print requests to the printers.  All other user requests are not printed and there are no error messages generated.  This happens if I use the lp command or the Xerox xprint command.  This appears to be access issue.

Howdy, Stranger!
