Assets status showing as DELETED

HI Freinds

I have retired one asset in the current period and wants to reinstate the same.But when I am trying to reinstate the assets ..its status in the form is visible as DELETED and  re-instate tab is grayed out.

Can any body please suggest the solution for that ?
