Does MOD sync the 'Is Email Permitted' field to CRM On Demand?

I have the MOD field 'Is Email Permitted' mapped to the 'Never Email' field for a CRM On Demand Lead record.  It appears that the MOD field  'Is Email Permitted' field does not sync to the 'Never Email' CRM On Demand Lead record when record is published from MOD.  The CRM On Demand 'Never Email' field does update the MOD field 'Is Email Permitted' during its daily sync.  Is it the expected behaviour that MOD field 'Is Email Permitted' does not update CRM On Demand 'Never Email' field in the Lead record during the Publish operation?  If yes, is there someway to change
