Workflows for Assets

Hi,

Really hope someone can help. And I hope I can explain this so you will understand what I need. In regards to assets and notifications of when maintenance or coverage is expiring, I need to create 2 workflows (correct me if I'm wrong). One for when a new record is saved and another for when a modified record is saved. I created a field called Coverage Expiry Alert Date which is the trigger for the workflows. When a new asset is created and a date is entered into this field, whether it be 1, 2 or 3 years out I need
