installation sizing and best options for 12.1.3

we have a RHEL 5.8 server with 16gb RAM

6 DISKS: 146 + 146   + 300 + 300 + 300 + 300

 

we plan to use RAID1 with the 146 disks and 1+0 with the 300 disks

 

We are thinking to install:

146 disk:

/ --> (15 gb)

swap --> 15 gb

/boot --> 100Mb

 

APPS ORACLE_HOME --> 60 GB

DB_ORACLE_HOME --> 15 GB

The rest of the space for multiple porpuses for example lvm snapshots

 

 

in the 300 + 300 disks:

/data --> 400 GB

/archivelogs --> 200 GB

 

 

We are in doubt if using LVM (for snapshots backups on /, /data and /arhivelogs)

All advices are wellcome.
