Using Oracle DB to access data in a non-relational DB?

edited Jul 26, 2012 6:51AM in Database Tuning (MOSC) 6 commentsAnswered
Hello all,

I have been working with a few developers who built an Oracle DB to persist standard object values (strings, unsigned ints).  Now, we are tasked with implementing another database that will store a different set of data objects with name/value pairs that we do not necessarily know ahead of time and may be dynamic or contain values that are not yet repesented in the DB schema. We are thinking that inserting this data into the existing Oracle DB may not be the best solution because we do not want to alter the existing database structure with each new name/value pair

Howdy, Stranger!
