no lib32 in 11.2 client install

My apps are using libclntsh.a to run their code. It is located in lib32 directory and that is not part of the 11.2 install.  what is the right way for me to get the 32 bit libraries? I was told to install 32bit client which sounds like a bit of overdoing to me - install the whole new tree only to use couple of files.  I am considering installing the 32bit client on one host and then copying just one lib32 directory to my client hosts. Does anyone see a problem with doing this?
