Cascaded databases: Can someone tell me why DG Broker doesn't support it?

Hi everyone!

I have been trying for a while now to find out why the cascaded database isn't supported with the dataguard broker. I have asked oracle support and had the article I had quoted in my ticket, just sent right back to me stating that there are restrictions. But, why is the cascade not supported? No answer.

I also read that some restrictions have been lifted under 11.2.0.2. Does that mean it is supported on this version and later?

Can someone please put my mind at rest.
