Financial Row Reports Xe

I am working to create some row reports for Income Statements and just want to know if I use Automatic Row Generation will the rows be created from the model chart that i choose at the time the reports execute or are the rows saved with the specification when i generate them while developing the report. I think they are generated each time the report runs, but am not sure.
