How to identify data flow when upgrading from 11.5.10.2 to R.12.1.3

 Hi,
When doing an Technical upgrade from 11i to R12.1.3, how do we identify how the data flows in multiple tables because of architectural changes between two versions?

Ex: In 11i, creation of suppliers is largely meant inserting records into PO_VENDORS and PO_VENDOR_SITES tables, where as in R12 data gets inserted into multiple tables as per TCA (HZ Parties, HZ Party USG Assignments , AP Suppliers etc).  If any one has any doc or any notes, please share the same.
