Database Patchset 11.2.0.3 installation hangs

Morning all,
When I run the OUI, either via setup or the executable itself, the installer hangs in one of 2 ways:

  • On the System Class page (with the Desktop Class or Server class options), after selecting Desktop Class and pressing the Next button, OUI hangs.


  • On the System Class page, I select Server Class and press the Next button until I get to the page with the Install button. I then press Install, the progress bar on the next screen is eventually updated to 100% and then OUI hangs.

I have had a look at the main Oracle forums and read and tried suggestions that infer it might be a javaw.exe issue to no avail.
