Why after standard installation I'm getting rpool/swap volblock different from recommendations of 4K
Hello,
Doc 1020257.1 pulls in the following question:
If the recommended volblock for rpool/dump and rpool/swap is respectively 128K and 8K/4K (SPARC/x86-64), then why, by default, freshly installed (and fully updated) Solaris 10 systems on x86-64 are getting their rpool/swap volblock also set to 128K instead of the recommended 4K?
I understand the doc is target to Solaris 10, but just as another observation, on Solaris 11 I'm getting default volblock of 1M (for both rpool/dump and rpool/swap) from the standard installation on x86-64.
Could you, please, help clarify why the standard installations are setting volblock to a different value from the doc?
