How to Share 11g BI Publisher with APEX and other applications ?

Hi Team,

We already have a running OBIEE Instance (BI Server, BI Publisher and RTD), Can i use the existing BI Publisher in this running environment to APEX reporting(NEW)? (APEX is a different environment on different servers).

As per the Integration docs, we don't do any setups in BI Publisher side(only configuration is at APEX side). So when we submit a report in APEX is it just runs the report on fly (using BIP) and return the results on APEX page?? or is it stores any report information in BI Publisher repository, If it is then What is the best approach to differentiate that reporting information between 2 environments ?
