a asset can be revaluated in period of addition?

please i need help in the user guide 12.1 assets appear this:

Note: Revaluations are only performed on assets that are added inprior periods. Revaluations are not processed on assets that are:• Added or backdated in the current open period• Fully retired• With pending retirements

but in metalink notes appear that un asset can be revaluated in period of addition, what is the correct?, thanks!
