can Goldengate extract from Dataguard?

Hi all,

I'm facing the situation, we did a Dataguard switchover,  and our GG worked on the original primary database, now the original primary database became Dataguard, can the GG extract data from dataguard now?

if it works, then we reduce the process to reconfigure the GG. also distribute the workload from the current database.
