Unable to Query in the Database

Guys,

I have a Database on Oracle 11g (11.1.0.6) on Windows XP Machine.

 

 

 

Now, whenever I connect to the  database, it gives me “Connected to idle instance”. If I do a Startup, it works fine but if I run any query on the Database, it gives me Ora-03113

 

 

 

Ora-03113: End of communication channel
