Maximum number of fields in single BC

Hi,
is there any hardcoded limit how many fields one business component can have?

 I have a case were I need to create high number of custom fields in BC and I just started wondering if I'm getting issues because of this. I do understand the high number of fields might affect in performance but right now I'm more worried of ability to create x amount of fields. The base BC would be Service Request.
