Exporting Spreadsheet as xhtml

I need some help to configure BIP 11g. The spreadsheet export by our Oracle BI Publisher has in its content xhtml code. I cannot view this as a spreadsheet in Excel Viewer or Openoffice calc.
How can I solve that?
