How SIM handle Grand parent item?

 HiWhen I search a Grand Parent item in SIM item lookup, It says that "Sorry, no records found, Plz try again".
Though the item is in SIM database for particular store.

eg.
Item_type=0-- In(AS_itm_rtl_str)
Sc_Itm=A--   (AS_itm_rtl_str)

Trans_level= 2-- (as_itm)
Item_level=1-- (as_itm)
Status='A'--   (as_itm)

Please let me know this behavior as why SIM is saying no records found as user want to see these item details in SIM.
