Cross Docking

Hi all,

Can you please explain the cross dociking functionality with a business scenario.

i did the follwoing in my test environment.

1:  Cross Docking rules has to be setup

2: Create a sales Order  , and booked

3: sales orders  lines  are  backordered due to lack of stock.

4:Now created a PO for the the same item( for the same inv org).

5: Now Received  the stock (goods) into a LPN.

6: Now while dropping its suggested the STCK sub inventory as  like regular PO receing PUT AWY process.

Then how the above received goods will use for above backe order sales order. i thoght during drop process stock will move staging sub inventory.
