R12.1.3 Usage Contracts and Counters - impact on renewed contracts

Hi gurus,

At the moment i am trying to investigate what happens with usage contract lines and counter values and its impacts on renewed contracts and i was wondering if you know if there is any automatic way of reseting the counters for the renewed contract? At the moment, when i renew the contract, the last uploaded counter values are uploaded on the new renewed contract.

Or can the last counter value be set as the initial value for the renewed contract?
