Opportunity Revenue Forecast: Expected Revenue does not match

Hello altogether,

We have the following issue.

Lately we have noticed, that the expected revenue amount doesn't match the actual numbers entered for the opportunities (Type: Opportunity Revenue Forecast).

It seems there were some changes made for opportunity revenue field after the forecast was completed. But: also for the next months as November, December.. the amounts do not match.

Has anybody had similar issues and know the reasons for this behaviour? (I've already downloaded the lists and compared forecast, expected revenue accounts, still couldn't find any reasonable explanation based on numbers.)
