Capital project need to be convert as Expenditures

Dear All,
We have implemented project costing and mostly we deal with Capital projects. Now requirement is some of Capital projects need to be convert as expenditure.

After defining capital project created PO and Invoices against project after that i interfaced supplier costs to projects now i come to know that this projects need be convert as expenditure not as asset.

Is it possible to convert capital project as expenditure ???

If possible can any one assist the  process ???
