How to email the user that creates a record?

Hello,

Does anyone know a statement that will find the email address for the creator of a record?  We cases were the Owner of an Opportunity is not the Creator, but once the Opportunity reaches a certain stage we would like to email both the Owner and Creator of the record.  I cannot figure out a statement that will find the Creator's email address.  Any ideas are appreciated.
