BI Publisher - Company Logo/Image

We are wanting to print the company logo on a report.  I have inserted the image in the RTF template.  When I run the report and send directly to the printer, the logo does not print.  However, when I open the pdf of the report, the logo is there and then I am able to print locally.  We are wanting for this to work so that the logo prints when sending directly to the printer and not having to print through the pdf.  I am curious if the image type makes a difference? (tif, jpeg, etc.) or if this has
